Bumpy ride to hospital
This is the unfortunate ride that patients further suffer when they are brought to the Standerton State Hospital via Kruger Street in Standerton.
Lekwa Local Municipality have neglected to fill up and maintain potholes throughout the entirety of Kruger Street. Kruger Street is used as the main access route to and from the hospital. It leads directly into the main street and toward Walter Sisulu Drive from where other major roads are accessed.
The hole-littered road surface may cause further injury to patients, especially those with spinal injuries. This injustice might have been forgiven if it were a new problem. The potholes in Kruger Street have been visible and growing for more than a whole year. Why Lekwa hasn't done anything about these potholes in well over a year is the main question here. In addition we would like to know when these holes will be attended to? We invite Lekwa Local Municipality to provide some answers.
